A truck ran the vehicle off the road at over 100 kilometres an hour.
The vehicle was run into the middle of the highway hitting posts, brush, near missing large trees and hitting every single bump and lump in that middle section at over 100 kilometres per hour. This car has suffered MAJOR IMPACT DAMAGE !!!
DAMAGE NOTED TO BEGIN WITH:
1. Chassis Front Cross Member - noted by Arizonas
2. Right Hand Lower Control Arm - noted by Arizonas
3. Wheel buckled - noted by Clive Jones to MM - but problem existed after returning from
Arizonas.
4. Something was bent and was the reason the bumper wasn't back on properly - noted by
Clive Jones
DAMAGE WHICH WAS NOT NOTED - AFTER IT RETURNED FROM ARIZONAS:
1. The vehicle's bumper bar had to be broken on the corners to fit the front of the car.
2. The car shook at any speed over 25 kilometres per hour.
3. The front right headlight was poking out over 1cm whilst the left one was in.
4. The top of the front grill part is unlevel to the part underneath it.
5. Theres up to 1cm differences in between each of just about all areas on the vehicle --
shown by the photos taken further down.
6. The top of the bonnet is unlevel on either side.
7. Photos show that on either side the spacing between the doors is now different showing
bend in structure down to here.
8. Panel next to door on right side is out 2-3mm further than the next panel down.
9. The rear doors on either side are maligned. Theres a few milimetres difference which
is in context with the fact that the rest of the car is bent also.
10. Spacing between the rear taillights is now different showing the bend in the structure
is all the way down to the back of the vehicle.
HOW MANY PHOTOS DID THE INSURANCE ASSESSOR TAKE?
2. Did he take a real good look at the damage? NO he did not. He did not car and was very blasay, even though i explained what had happened and that the fact that it did not look so bad on the outside was no indication of the under carriage and its damage.
He told me immediately to forget it i was not getting a new car, there was hardly anything wrong with it.
TUESDAY 27 MAY:
Mark said they were going to send the car to have the wheel fixed, so i could get it back on the road. And then he said they were going to put it up on hoist to have it looked at. After that he told Neville and myself:
Engine Mount Bent - stated by AIG Mark to Neville
Tyre connected bent and cross member as well, mark to neville
WEDNESDAY 28 MAY :
AIG Mark is saying that they are going to measure the car. This is after he has already stated it is bent (cross members / chassis / engin mount) and doesn't match. He said this the day previously. Now he is trying to say they are going to measure it and they have to take the cross member off to check for damages. They already had it on the hoist and established it was bent.
FRIDAY PREVIOUSLY : IAG Assessor Mark came out to my home and took two photos of my car. He had a total lack of interest in all the damaged areas i was showing him, did not look to see the structural damage which is quite visible to a lay person, and told me quite bluntly i would not be getting a new car.
